Wacław Jasiński (1881-1936), born in Godziszów in the district of Janów, studied medicine in Warsaw, military physician at the District Hospital in Lublin, dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Stefan Batory University in Vilnius, president of the Wieńskie Towarzystwo Lekarskie, publisher of the first Polish textbook on paediatrics, "Diseases of Children in Three Volumes".
