Biography:

Wacław Kłyszewski (1910-2000), born in Warsaw, was an architect. He studied architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology, graduating in 1936. At the same time, together with his fellow students Jerzy Mokrzyński and Eugeniusz Wierzbicki, he founded the "Tigers" group. Together they carried out many projects, including the Party House in Warsaw and the Railway Station in Katowice.Kłyszewski took part in the Defensive War in 1939. After the capitulation he was sent to two prisoner of war camps: Spittal an der Drau and Oflag IIC Woldenberg. He was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for his activities. He was one of the leading representatives of modernism in architecture.
