Biography:

Władysław Andrzej Strumiłło, nicknamed 'Krakowiak' (1924-2014) - Polish modernist architect, lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology, professor at the Pennsylvania State University; Warsaw insurgent (1944). He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1954. He was a member of the group of architects responsible for the design of the edifice of the State Higher School of Music in Warsaw, which was built between 1959 and 1966. His achievements were honoured with the Golden Cross of Merit (1969).
