Biography:

Włodzimierz Łoś (1849-1888), born in Kłębówka, painter known for his depictions of horses and genre scenes. He was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, and from 1872 he lived and worked in Munich, where he studied, among others, in the atelier of Józef Brandt. He participated in exhibitions in Poland and Germany and co-founded the Warsaw art group "Nora". In his work he eagerly returned to motifs from Podolia and Volhynia. He also painted illustrations for the press. In Germany he used the name Waldemar.
