In 1986, he established a private art and heritage conservation company in Ottawa - Atelier Ville-Marie LTD. which performs commissions for museums, galleries, churches, government organisations, corporations and individuals. Wojciech Kulikowski has been a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Conservators (CAPC) since 1991. He is also a member of the Canadian Association for Conservation (CAC): he was vice-president from 2000 to 2002 and president of the organisation from 2002 to 2004. He has been a professional member of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) since 2001. In addition to conservation, the artist paints. He has held many exhibitions of his paintings at the Atelier Ville-Marie.

Kulikowski's paintings oscillate around various events in the artist's life and often contain symbolism. In his earlier, figurative paintings, the artist used the traditional media of the old masters, such as tempera on board. The later, often abstract works are painted with acrylic paints and mixed media techniques. The artist's paintings can be found in private collections in Canada, Mexico, Germany and Poland.

Selected exhibitions: Spring 2007 - Exhibition of Polish Painters, Ottawa, 2007; New painting by Wojciech Kulikowski, 2011.

Work in catalogue
. Wojciech Kulikowski, 'Marina', acrylic on canvas, 91 x 76 cm. An abstraction in muted brown and blue tones. The artist's painterly vision focuses on colour and solids. The collection of solids builds an artistic vision of a harbour with a moored boat. The dark planes on the waterfront suggest buildings. Blue lightens the painting's palette and adds lightness.
