On 16-17 May 2023, a conference was held in the historic spaces of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. It was organised by the Polonika Institute and the Cultural Heritage Department at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania (Kulturos Paveldo Departamentas prie Kulturos Ministerijos). It was a meeting of representatives of both circles and a presentation of applied methods for the conservation of antique ceramics and elements made of metal alloys.

The speakers were experts from, among others, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, the Academy of Fine Arts in Vilnius, who presented their own research and conservation experience in the context of planned or already ongoing work on significant historical objects in Vilnius. The speakers included: Ramunė Balandžiūnienė, Dr Maria Gąsior, Aelita Bielinytė, Dr Piotr Niemcewicz Prof. UMK, Katarzyna Polak, Dr Rokas Dovydėnas, Monika Garnavault, Dr Dalia Klajumienė, Janusz Mróz.

The topics of the papers included both technological and conservation problems. Equally interesting were the issues of renovation of historic tiled cookers or post-industrial spaces. A paper on ceramic 3D printing gave rise to a discussion on the future of reconstruction and conservation.
