Chocim Castle

Chocim Castle is a fortress guarding the northern borders of the Moldovan state, a territory that is a fief of Poland. It is situated on the steep bank of the Dniester River. The origins of the castle date back to the 12th century, with the main part of the building constructed in the second half of the 15th century. In 2007, it was recognised as one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine.
