Zbigniew Kupczynski (1928-2024), born in Vilnius, was a Polish-Canadian artist working in the spirit of Abstract Expressionism. His work brought him international recognition and exhibitions were held all over the world. Kupczynski's works have found their way into the collections of figures such as Richard Nixon and John Paul II. Although he mostly created oil paintings on canvas, he also undertook experiments with sculpture.
