In cooperation with the Terpa Foundation, conservation work is being carried out on the paintings in the hall of the current Georgian Parliament Library. This edifice was designed by Henryk Hryniewski and the Russian Anatoli Kalgin as the Noble Bank building. Hryniewski himself also designed the full furnishings and painting decoration of the building. In the paintings we find strong reminiscences of Georgian visual arts

The author himself was an important figure in the artistic history of Georgia. He was co-founder and professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tbilisi, was active in the Caucasus Society for the Promotion of Fine Arts, and took part in scientific expeditions. In addition, he made his mark as an illustrator of Georgian national literature.

In 2018, conservation work was carried out in the Library hall, including polychrome (wall paintings and coffered ceiling), window and door woodwork and floors (oak parquet). The paintings were cleaned, the secondary repaints in the part of the profiled coffered divisions and the blue monochrome of the side walls were removed. The secondary (partly) ornamental belt running around the walls of the hall was preserved.
