Tombstone of August Zaleski

A gravestone monument (cenotaph) in the form of a gabled stele. The stele is polished, at the front with an engraved inscription (1) and a Polish emblem in flat relief, below which there is a further part of the inscription (2). The tomb field is covered with a chamfered band. The design of the gravestone is in accordance with the design of monuments for soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces under the care of the Commonwealh War Graves Commission.

2. ZMARŁ DNIA 7 KWIETNIA / 1972 / PRZEŻYWSZY LAT 88 //.

On 12 November 2022, the remains of August Zaleski and two other presidents of the Polish Republic in exile were brought to Poland: Władysław Raczkiewicz and Stanisław Ostrowski. They were buried in the Mausoleum of the Presidents of the Republic of Poland in Exile in Warsaw.
