Biography:

Aleksander Augustynowicz (1865-1944), born in Iskrzynia, son of Wincenty and Julia (née Habecka), painter. Between 1883 and 1886 he studied under Feliks Szynalewski, Władysław Łuszczkiewicz and Jan Matejko at the School of Fine Arts in Kraków. He then continued his education in Munich. He made artistic trips to Italy and Hungary. In 1925, he became a member of the Committee of the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He died during the Warsaw Uprising.
