Aleksander Michnowski, a Polish priest sent together with Father Joseph K. Specht to the Kashubian settlers in Brudenell, Canada, where in 1875 they founded a religious community - the first Polish parish of the Roman Catholic Church in Canada under the name of St. Stanislaus Kostka.
