Cemetery in Jatlovichi

Cemetery with Polish gravestone monuments. Information about the cemetery has been published (see bibliography). According to Lewkowski and Walczak, "the active Catholic cemetery is located 300 m to the north behind the village of Jatołtowicze (...). It is located on a flat area, surrounded by fields and a small forest to the west. This small village cemetery is fenced with a wooden fence, with an entrance on the eastern side, and covers an area of approximately 0.30 ha. It is set out on a rectangular plan without division into plots and alleys. In front of the entrance, 15 m inside the cemetery, there is a wooden chapel built on a rectangular plan, closed trilaterally on the western side, with a gable roof covered with sheet metal. The cemetery is dominated by concrete and terrazzo contemporary tombstones. (...) The state of preservation of the cemetery is good. "The oldest gravestone, dating from 1909, is on the grave of Anna Kiszkiel. The inscription reads: "S. P. ANNA 1909 / LIVED 50 YEARS / KATARZYNA AND CHILDREN / KISZKIEL".
