Cemetery in Konwaliszki

An active Catholic (formerly parish) cemetery established in the 2nd half of the 19th century, it is located to the north-east of the village. The cemetery is square in plan, located on flat ground and has a path on its axis. It covers an area of 0.9 hectares and is fenced with a stone embankment. The state of preservation of the establishment is good. The oldest preserved tombstone belongs to Hilary Dorniak and was created in 1872. It has the form of a granite pedestal (now turned over), which is signed: 'WILNO, SCULP W. ZIENKOWSKI'. The inscription has survived; / HERE SPOCZYWAJA ZWZOKI / HILARY / DORNIAKA / 2M. 6 APRIL 1872. / AT THE AGE OF 73 / AND HIS WIFE URSZULA ZUBIELEWICZOW / DIED 1866. 9 FEBRUARY / AT THE AGE OF 60 / THE GRIEF-STRICKEN SONS LAID THIS MEMORIAL / AFTER THE BEST PARENTS / DAWID AND MIKOLAJ /.
