Cemetery in Krukienice

Located in the southern part of the village, the cemetery was probably established in the second half of the 19th century, judging from the dates on the gravestones. It is a typical rural cemetery characterised by a lack of traces of spatial planning.

It is highly devastated. In the mid-1990s, the pastor of Krukienice, Adolf Chojnacki, cleared the overgrowth there with his own hands.

Nevertheless, several tombstones have survived in the cemetery, including that of Ludwik Stefan Waryński (d. 1902), a relative of Ludwik Waryński in the form of a rock topped with a cross, situated in an iron fence. In addition, the gravestone of Franciszka née Kuderowicz Lechicka (d. 1922), with a sculpture of an angel supported by a vase, or the monument to Jan Ostrzechowski in the form of a marble obelisk signed by P. Majerski of Przemyśl.

In 2014, the cemetery was inventoried thanks to the project "Inventory of garden layouts in the former Kresy - continuation. " ( https://bolestraszyce.com.pl/projekty-i-zadania/inwentaryzacja-zalozen-ogrodowych-na-dawnych-kresach-etap-2/)
