The village of Myshkov (Мишків), 12 km southeast of Tłuste, is surrounded by the riverbed of the Seret. The village, like others from the territory of the former Zaleszczyc district, was settled in prehistoric times. In 1862, a bronze badge of the Roman legion was found in Myszków in the form of a hand with straightened fingers holding a ball, on which the legs of a broken figure, most probably the goddess of victory, can be seen. On the sleeve-shaped forearm with a hole to be scooped onto a spar and fixed with a nail was an abbreviated Latin inscription stating that Gaius, lieutenant of the first Spanish cohort, offered this object to Jupiter. We are referring here to the cohort that fought Trajan's Dacian campaign and also belonged to the occupying regiments of the new province under Antonius Pius. It cannot be ruled out that the badge found its way to Myszków around 174, when the Roman army advanced the furthest north in its history489. From the 1850s until at least the 1880s, the surrounding lands belonged to Maria Baraniecka490. Before World War II, Celina Romanowska was mentioned as the owner.491 At that time also, part of the land belonged to one of the daughters of Abraham Pohoryles (c. 1850-1931).492 There were two mills in the village at that time. The co-operative "Proświta's Reading Room" and an agricultural circle493 also functioned. After 1934, on the basis of the Integration Act, Myszków became part of the Uhryńkowce municipality494. According to the Geographical Dictionary... the local Roman Catholic population (178 persons) together with the inhabitants of Teklówka (24 persons) belonged to the parish in Tłustem. The Greek Catholics, of whom there were 997, had the parish of the Nativity of Christ the Lord on site495. In 1900 a Roman Catholic chapel was consecrated in the cemetery, where Mass was celebrated twice a month. It was built with contributions from the villagers496. According to the 1921 census, 1094 people lived in Myszków, including 274 Catholics, 795 Greek Catholics and 25 people of Mosaic faith. Among them were 313 Poles and 756 Ukrainians497
