According to Anna Lewkowska, Jacek Lewkowski and Wojciech Walczak, the active Catholic cemetery was established on the plan of an irregular polygon. It has an area of 1.9 hectares surrounded by a stone wall. It was established in the first half of the 19th century and has the largest number of 20th century and contemporary gravestones. The church of Sts Peter and Paul is located in the cemetery. To quote the aforementioned authors: "The oldest tombstones, dating from the 19th century, are located around the church, indicating that it was originally a church cemetery, enlarged by a parish cemetery in the 20th century." The oldest gravestone, dating from 1846, commemorates Paulina Makarewicz, née Czeczotta. It has the form of a granite slab with a calligraphic inscription. In the cemetery there is a tombstone of a Home Army soldier, Leonard Paprocki, alias "Orlik" (died 1944 at the age of 18). It is worth noting the inscription: "HERE LIE THE REMAINS / OF ANNA ŁENKOWSKA / DIED ON 4 JANUARY 1898 / AT 96. LIVING / THIS MEMORIAL IS BURIED / by PIOTR AND JAN ŁENKOWSKIE / PRESENTS PRESENTS / FOR WESTHING TO GOD" (signed "A. Rudziński, Slonim Gub. Grodz.") The cemetery is kept in good condition
