Cemetery in Serwecz

Cemetery with Polish gravestone monuments. Information about the cemetery has been published (see bibliography).
According to Anna Lewkowska, Jacek Lewkowski and Wojciech Walczak, in Serwecza there is a chapel erected by the Niesiołowskis. It is the only remnant of the residence of Józef Niesiołowski (d. 1814), the last voivode of Novgorod. To quote the aforementioned authors, "the burial chapel in Serwecza was built in the first quarter of the 19th century, it was the resting place of Józef Niesiołowski (...). The neo-Gothic brick chapel has an octagonal ground plan. The walls have been preserved up to the height of the cornice, and on the outside the wall is faced with fieldstone of various sizes. (...) The interior is completely ruined, with remnants of plaster on the walls and a collapsed floor. Visible entrance to the crypt under the chapel, crypt collapsed floor rubble. Trees are already growing in the interior. The cornice and covering of the chapel are gone. There are holes in the ground around the chapel from looting."
