Located in the southern part of the town, the cemetery was probably founded in the early 19th century, as can be deduced from the dates on the surviving gravestones. The oldest gravestone is a classicist monument with an acroterion, surmounted by a slender vase, on the grave of Joseph Holfinger (d. 1843), bearing an inscription in German. The necropolis is neglected (especially in the part with Polish inscriptions).

In the centre of the cemetery is a styleless (according to Hauser) chapel, with a four-column portico in the façade, a triangular gable, a tented roof covered with sheet metal and a semicircular closed chancel.

It is surrounded by old tombstones: a crossless stone monument on the grave of the "Familija Bukowska citizens of Stary Sól"; Domicela and Mikołaj de Korsz Kruczkowski; a tombstone of Zosieńka Kalita (d. 1923) topped with a sculpture of a seated angel with upraised hands; and a tombstone of the head of the family of Zosieńka Kality (d. 1923) topped with a statue of an angel with raised hands. 1923); a gravestone of Paulina Rop (d. 1911) crowned with an ornamental cast iron cross or a rock topped with a knotted cross on the grave of the long-standing mayor of Stara Sol - Jędrzej Wojtasiewicz (d. 1901).
