Biography:

Emanuel Dworski (1875-1941), Polish consul and seaman. He served in the Austro-Hungarian Navy from 1894 to 1918. During the First World War he took part in the battles at the Otranto Gate aboard the SMS Helgoland. In 1918 he was promoted to captain of a frigate. After the war, delegate to the SHS in Rijeka. Since 1932 honorary consul of the Republic of Poland in Sušak.

Projekt realizowany przez Fundację Akcja Kultura zakładał dokumentacje śladów polskiego dziedzictwa w Chorwacji. W jego ramach założono 45 kart obiektów i osób. Zdokumentowano 43 obiekty związane z Polską. Najstarszym jest pochodzące z XVIII wieku przedstawienie św. Stanisława Kostki w Dubrowniku, najnowszym nagrobek z 2019 roku w Zagrzebiu. Większość obiektów pochodzi z końca XIX w i pocz. XX.
