Graves of Poles in the Central Cemetery

The Central Cemetery in Fulda (Hesse) is the resting place of 221 Polish citizens. Most of them died during the Second World War. Among others, 95 Polish forced labourers became victims of a bombing raid on 27 December 1944. In addition, Poles who died after the end of the war - dippers and Polish children - are buried here.
In 2020-2021 the Polish-German Reconciliation Foundation, as part of a task supported by the "Places of National Remembrance Abroad" Programme of the Minister, compiled data on the buried persons and made it available, together with a description of the cemetery, on the website of the project "Polish Memorials and War Graves in Germany":
