Hetman

The year 2020 has been established by a resolution of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland as the Year of Hetman Stanisław Żółkiewski, therefore it is now that we would like to recall the fate of this extremely interesting figure in a special way.

In the exhibition, we present various stages in the life of Hetman Stanisław Żółkiewski, one of the most important commanders in the history of the Republic of Poland. We can learn about his childhood and family life, the battles he fought, his political career, death and funeral, as well as the legacy he left behind, both material and intellectual.

We also recall the history of Zhovkva, a fortified and at the same time "ideal city" founded by Hetman
