Biography:

Janusz Morkowski (born 1930) - an engineer active in Switzerland since 1964. Thanks to his contacts with the German Federal Republic, a Copernican exhibition was opened at the Polish Museum in 1974, attracting 11,000 visitors. This event led to a rift within the Society of Friends of the Rapperswil Museum. As a result, the previous curator of the Polish Museum in Rapperswil - Zdzisław Pręgowski - resigned from his post. His duties were taken over by Morkowski in 1974. A year after taking up his post, he opened the exhibition "Eternal Poland.
