Biography:

Janusz Tyszkiewicz Łohojski (1590-1649), Polish magnate, voivode of Kiev (1630-1648), starosta of Zhytomyr and Sniatyn, marshal of the Zhytomyr Sejmik (1629), and captain of the quartet army (1627). He founded a church and a monastery with ramparts and a drawbridge in Berdyczów as a votive offering for his rescue from Turkish captivity after the Tzadik expedition in 1626-1627.
