Historical outline
Czyżowice is a small village situated east of Radenice. The village was first mentioned as early as 1427. There is not much information about the construction of the church here. Some sources give the year 1930, while others suggest that it must have been built just before the Second World War. What is certain is that Czyżowice never had a separate parish. It has always belonged to Radenice and it remains so today. However, the village has its own church building. It is small, but neat and breathes with space on all sides. According to some sources, the building is now referred to as the Queen Mother of God Church. Traditionally, it falls under the Radenice parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and historically under that of the Blessed Virgin Mary Queen of Poland. The temple is served by priests from the village of Strzelczyska.

It is likely that the church was closed during the USSR period, but escaped destruction. This thesis has two ramifications. Firstly, the parish records (register of baptisms, confirmations, weddings and funerals) start in 1991, so we can assume that a new chapter in the church's history began then. In turn, the good state of preservation of the building is probably related to its modest dimensions. Perhaps the Soviets were not interested in building a warehouse or using the building for some other purpose, which was very often the case during their domination. However, this is just conjecture without any real source confirmation.

Architecture
The building is located in the centre of Czyzovice. It consists of a two-span nave and a narrower single-span chancel facing north. A vestry and a treasury are located on the sides of the chancel. In front of the nave is a small, square porch. The exterior elevations are plain, capped with a prominent moulded cornice and framed by bands at the corners. All parts of the church have gabled roofs covered with sheet metal. The turret is also covered with sheet metal and topped with a conical cupola.

The interior is quite simple and the walls have no articulation. The nave is covered with a barrel vault and the presbytery with a concave-convex vault. All other parts are topped with ceilings. The windows in the building are rectangular, closed with a semicircle. The entrance opening in the porch is similar. The other entrance openings are rectangular. The rainbow beam (i.e. the one on the ceiling that separates the nave from the chancel) is made of wood, with a corrugated shape.

The church is preserved in very good condition. Inside, attention should be drawn first of all to the altar dating from the first half of the 20th century: architectural, wooden, painted, with gilded elements. It features a painting of the "Virgin and Child" in the field and the Eye of Providence in the finial.
