Biography:

Maurycy Lilien was a Polish-Jewish graphic designer, photographer, book illustrator and painter. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow, completed a drawing course at the Academy of Vienna, and also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He made illustrations for Polish and German magazines and also illustrated the Old Testament.
