Tombstone of Eva and Francis Bra[...]y

Stryjówka | Ukraine

The burial site marked by a Pietà on a two-stepped plinth and base. A sculptural group on its own base, it depicts the Virgin Mary kneeling before the cross, supporting the dead body of Christ. Mary, dressed in a long robe with a hood over her head, leans over her son, holding his left hand in her left hand. Christ shown frontally in perisonium, in a semi-recumbent position. He is leaning against the ground with his right hand. His head falls over his right shoulder, on which is the right hand of the Virgin Mary. First step of plinth with chamfered upper edges. The second step of the plinth covered by a hipped roof, with an engraved inscription to the front.
