Tombstone of Jozef Balzukiewicz

Burial place marked by a cross on a two-stage plinth and base. The second step of the plinth high, covered by a hipped roof. On the front originally a plaque with a relief bust of the deceased. The man shown in left profile. Below, a plaque with an engraved inscription. The whole is framed by a high band with pedestals connected by a cast iron bar.

Additional information:

The plaque with the bust is a copy. According to Wacław Wejtko's file, there was a redrawing of the gravestone with the plaque with the bust of the deceased marked. The gravestone monument was erected in 1925. The author of the bust was the brother of the deceased - Bolesław Bałzukiewicz. The bust was probably stolen around 2000. It can still be seen in the photograph in W. Jackiewicz, 'Wileńska Ross', Olsztyn 1993, il. 221. and in Krystyna Marczyk, Stanislaw Ziniewicz, "A little lexicon of Vilnius Rossa", Vilnius 1998. in 2016 a copy of the original, unpreserved plaque was placed, made in plaster and painted gold
