Cemetery in Kowalówka (II)

Burial place marked by a statue of Immaculata on a two-stepped plinth and base. Mary depicted frontally, on a crescent, bare feet crescent and serpent entwining the globe. Hands folded in a prayer gesture. Head slightly bowed. The figure is dressed in a gown and cloak thrown over her shoulders. Long hair falling to the shoulders. The first step of the plinth with profiled upper edges. The second step of the plinth with a simplified beam consisting of a plain frieze decorated on the front with an engraved cross on the base and two stars inscribed in a square, and a cornice. On the front an engraved inscription.

Inwentaryzacja cmentarzy dawnego powiatu buczackiego wykonana została w latach 2005-2007 przez zespół z Instytutu Historii Sztuki Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie pod kierunkiem dr Anny Sylwii Czyż i dr. Bartłomieja Gutowskiego. Materiał opracowany został w formie kart ewidencyjnych obiektów zabytkowych i opublikowany w książce "Cmentarze dawnego powiatu buczackiego", pod red. A. S. Czyż i B. Gutowskiego, Warszawa 2017 roku. Dokumentacja obejmuje wszystkie nagrobki związane z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym (przede wszystkim rozstrzygający jest napis w języku polskim) powstałe przed 1945 rokiem. Karty inwentaryzacyjne przechowywane są w Warszawie przez Archiwum Akt Nowych (zespół dokumentów Stowarzyszenia „Wspólnota Polska”) oraz Departament Dziedzictwa Kulturowego Ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego.
