Tombstone of Magdalena Kubuw

Soborne | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a statue of Immaculata on a two-stepped plinth and base. Mary dressed in long ruffled robe and mantle. Gown girdled, belt with floral brooch. On her head a veil, long curly hair protruding from underneath. Head tilted back, pointing slightly to the right. The hands rest on the chest. The figure stands on a globe, with a crescent moon under its right foot, its left foot tramples a uroboros, below it an apple framed by oak leaves from below. The first step of the plinth with chamfered upper edges. The second step of the plinth topped by a simplified beam with a magnificent cannelled frieze. Covered by a wider moulded panel.
