Gravestone of Maria Bednarz

Cebrów | Ukraine

The burial site marked by a statue of the Virgin and Child on a base and two-stage plinth. The effigy on its own base, with a slightly curved figure clad in long antique corrugated robes and a mantle tied at the waist, her bare feet emerging from beneath the robes, an imperial crown on her head. On the left side in arms is the infant Jesus in a long tunic, his right hand embraced in a gesture of blessing, in his left hand he holds an imperial apple. First step of pedestal low with moulded upper edges. The second level of the pedestal is high, slimmer with simplified transom, covered with a protruding profiled panel, in the front a rectangular panel closed trapezoidally, in which an engraved inscription. On the other three sides are carved frames with chamfered quarter-circle corners.

Inwentaryzacja cmentarzy dawnego powiatu buczackiego wykonana została w latach 2021-2022 9 przez zespół specjalistów z Instytutu Historii Sztuki Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie i Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie w składzie dr Paweł Drabarczyk vel Grabarczyk, dr. Bartłomiej Gutowski (kierownik projektu), dr Magdalena Olszewska dr Magdalena Tarnowska. Materiał opracowany został w formie kart ewidencyjnych obiektów zabytkowych i opublikowany w katalogu Instyttutu Polonika. Dokumentacja obejmuje wszystkie nagrobki związane z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym (przede wszystkim rozstrzygający jest napis w języku polskim) powstałe przed 1945 rokiem.
