Gravestone of Maria Piotrowska

Soborne | Ukraine

The burial site marked by a statue of Mary with child on a three-tier base and plinth. Mary in contrapposto, wearing long robes and a hooded cloak, in her arms resting on her right side she holds Jesus girded with a shawl, the child's face plump with a slight smile. The third step of the base heavily degraded with originally chamfered upper edges. The pedestal covered with a moulded panel passing into a projecting cornice, on the front a panel with quarter-circle chamfered corners with an engraved inscription, on the other three sides analogous engraved frames.

Inwentaryzacja cmentarzy dawnego powiatu buczackiego wykonana została w latach 2017-2019 przez zespół z Instytutu Historii Sztuki Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie pod kierunkiem prof. Anny Sylwii Czyż i dr. Bartłomieja Gutowskiego. Materiał opracowany został w formie kart ewidencyjnych obiektów zabytkowych i opublikowany w książce "Cmentarze dawnego powiatu tarnopolskiego", t. 1 i 2, pod red. A. S. Czyż i B. Gutowskiego, Warszawa 2017-2019 roku. Karty inwentaryzacyjne opublikowane zostały w katalogu on-line - http://cmentarzetarnopolskie.uksw.edu.pl/. Dokumentacja obejmuje wszystkie nagrobki związane z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym (przede wszystkim rozstrzygający jest napis w języku polskim) powstałe przed 1945 rokiem.
