Tombstone of Mikolaj Szajnowski

Sokołów | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a cross on a two-stage plinth and base. Cross with arms ending in the carving of a cataract arch, wider at the lower end, on a plinth. At the intersection of the arms a relief figure of Christ, above a titulus. Base and first step of plinth with moulded upper edges. On the first step of the pedestal, on the front, an engraved frame with quarter-circle chamfered corners with a ritual inscription (1). The second step of the plinth slightly tapering towards the top, covered by a wider moulded panel. On the front an engraved frame enclosed by an overhanging pointed arch framed by pea-shaped triangles, within which is an engraved inscription (2).
