Tombstone of Tekla Lazarowicz

Burial site marked by a cast-iron cross on a two-stage plinth and base. Cross with arms ending in rhomboidal caps, on plinth. The face of the cross excavated. At the intersection of the arms the mount is visible after the figure of Christ. The first and second steps of the plinth with chamfered upper edges. Engraved inscriptions on the front (1, 2). The gravestone together with monuments Nos. 15-24 enclosed by a common fence.

In the file of Wacław Wejtka, under the letter Ł, card number 45. There is no information in the file about the location of the gravestone. Description of the tombstone: "A graceful and light column of black-coloured granite, polished and carved. Letters of inscription engraved, gilded. Wrought-iron surrounds, pockmarked in black. Chiselled columns on corners. Flowers only natural in flower beds because she did not wish to have metal ones, neither on the coffin nor on the gravestone." Inscription: Lazarowiczówna / Tekla / passed into the god of this world / on 6 June 1897 at the age of 77 / Eternal repose / deign to give the Lord! //." The file also includes a biography of the deceased: "a person of extremely upright character, pious, charitable friend and protector of minor poor orphans. Gentle and kind to her servants, who stayed with her for 35 years and more. Thanks to her efforts, care and secret support, they were able to secure their old age, all the more so receiving a life-long pension according to the old Polish custom and a free flat after her death, even though she was not very rich in food. In the later years of her life she also devoted herself with passion and success to literature, ..... of spiritual content: this is evidenced by a devotional book published by her under the title, "Praised be Jesus Christ", which was very successful and in a short time the entire edition was sold; the second edition, slightly changed and improved, was published under the title s.p. "Józefa Kamocka known literature". "Józefa Kamocka a well-known literary woman".
