Tombstone of Wawrzyniec Turkiewicz

Bertniki | Ukraine
The burial place marked by a cross on a three-tier plinth and base. Chamfered cross, with moulded tabs, on a moulded plinth. At the intersection of the arms a relief carved figure of Christ, above a titulus. The first step of the plinth with chamfered upper edges. A frame carved on the front. Second step of the pedestal with moulded upper edges. On three sides engraved frames with quarter chamfered upper corners. In the front one an engraved inscription. The third step of the plinth tapering upwards, with profiled upper edges. On the front a relief carved figure of a hovering angel. The angel wearing a long robe girded with a sash, with his hair down to his shoulders. In his left upright hand he holds a floral wreath, his right bent at the elbow with his finger raised. Below is the empty space left by the photograph, with a fragmentary pane of glass.
