Tombstone of Wincenty and Maria Sadowski

Kozłów | Ukraine

The burial place marked by a cross on a pedestal, a two-stage plinth and a two-stage base. Straight cross, at the intersection of the arms Christ crucified, above Him the titulus. The plinth stylised on the front with a winged angel head. The second step of the base with chamfered corners. The first step of the pedestal surmounted by moulding, on the front an engraved linear frame enclosed in quarter circles at the corners, within which is an engraved inscription. The second step of the plinth surmounted by a head with two angel heads, below them a carving of an overhanging arch. On the front a shallow arcade flanked by composite columns on their own bases and bases, inside the arcade the Blessed Wincenty Kadłubek framed by a gloria. Blessed Wincenty depicted wearing an alb tied at the waist, with a mitre on his head. In his left hand a pastoral, the index finger of his right hand pointing towards heaven.
