"Odessa - Polish traces" (map PL, ENG, UA) - publication of the Polonika Institute

"Odessa - Polish Traces" is a map, a guide to more than 20 selected objects related to Poland and Poles. Accessibly described, photographed and arranged in a comfortable sightseeing path, it makes it possible to find Polish heritage and learn about it in an interesting way.

The Polish Reunion, Polish Street, the Brzozowski Palace, Dr. Józef Moczutkowski's clinic or the Mickiewicz monument are just some of the many important Polish-related places woven into the urban fabric of Odessa. Poles living in Odessa over the centuries have had a significant impact on the architecture, culture and life of the place. This is evidenced by the material legacy preserved until 2022.

The Polonika Institute, despite the current impossibility of visiting this beautiful city, decided to publish this publication believing in the sense of popularising and documenting Polish heritage abroad and in the imminent end of hostilities, which will make travelling to the area possible again.

The guide was published in cooperation with the General Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Odessa in three language versions: Polish, English and Ukrainian.

You can read about the publication on Histmag.org , where excerpts are also posted .
