Biography:

Wojciech Rychlewicz (1903-1964), Polish diplomat, head of the Polish consulate general in Istanbul. During World War II, he issued false certificates of Catholic faith to Jews, enabling them to escape to Europe. In 1942, he joined the Anders Army in Palestine and followed the combat route with it to Italy. After the war, he settled in London where he worked as a hotelier.
