Biography:

Zbigniew Maleszewski (1924-2017), born in Łyszczyce, sculptor and architect. He graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he studied under Franciszek Strynkiewicz. He played an important role as one of the intellectual mentors of the Centre for Polish Sculpture in Orońsko. As an artist, he specialised exclusively in stone sculpture. Since 1954, he has presented his works at numerous exhibitions, winning many medals and awards.
