Biography:

Dmitry Wisniowiecki Bajda (born before 1535-1653), a kniaz, starosta of Cherkasy and Kanya. He spearheaded many raids against Crimean Tatars and Turks. For a short time in the service of Ivan IV the Terrible. Captured by deception and put to death by Suleiman the Magnificent. The hero of many legends and Ukrainian dumkas.
