Grave of a soldier of the 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade in the war quarters at the municipal cemetery

In the municipal cemetery, in the war grave (marked G), there is a grave of Józef Szkopek, a corporal of the 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade - a Polish unit fighting in France in 1940. The circumstances of his death are not known.
The tombstone has the characteristic form of a cross in the shape of a sword. Such decorative tombstones were issued to soldiers who fell and died for France by the French association "Souvenir Francaise". The inscription on the cross reads: "Caporal / Szkopeck Jozef / Legion Polonaise / Mort pour la France / 21.07.1940".
