At the southern end of the village, in the old cemetery, there is a grave of 18 legionaries from the Second (Iron) Brigade of the Legions, killed in battle on 24.10.1914. Sources mention 16 names of the soldiers buried here, but five names also state that they are buried in Nadwórna. A pyramid-shaped monument was erected on the grave, made of irregular basalt boulders, with a cross on top; on its front a plaque with the inscription: "To the Heroes of the Iron Brigade fallen 1914-1915".
In the 1990s, the grave was renovated with funds from the "Polish Community", which was commemorated on the inscription plaque, which now reads: "To the heroes / of the Iron Brigade / fallen in 1914-1915 // The grave was renovated / with funds from the >Polish Community <".
In 2018, the renovation of the monument was carried out by volunteers of the campaign "Mogila pradziada ocal od zapomnienia". Upon completion of the renovation work, they installed a memorial plaque that covered the original inscription plaque. In 2021, during further work on the cemetery in Pasieczna, volunteers of the above-mentioned action changed the position of the unfortunate plaque.
The site is under care, funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the 'Places of National Remembrance Abroad' programme.
