Graves of Poles from World War II in the cemetery in Bügelstrasse

The cemetery on Bügelstrasse in Duisburg (North Rhine-Westphalia) contains around 950 war graves of people who were murdered or died in Duisburg during forced labour, bombing or imprisonment. A total of 31 Polish citizens are buried in the cemetery.
In 2020-2021, the Polish-German Reconciliation Foundation, as part of a task supported by the Ministerial Programme "Sites of National Remembrance Abroad", compiled data on the buried persons and made it available, together with a description of the cemetery, on the website of the project "Polish Memorials and War Graves in Germany": https://polskiegroby.pl/cmentarz.php?jez=pl&cmentarzok=1189&miejsceok=1151&landok=10.
