Biography:

Mieczysław Wasilewski, born in 1942 in Warsaw, is a Polish graphic artist, poster designer and lecturer associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He studied under the poster artist Henryk Tomaszewski, after whom he took over the graphic design studio.

He created posters, illustrations, publication designs and postage stamps, collaborating with numerous Polish publishers and cultural institutions. He also lectured abroad, including in Syria, Finland, Germany and Canada.

His works are held in museum collections in Poland and abroad.
