Biography:

Stefan Wielgus (1917–2001), born in Miedzierza, was a graphic artist and poster designer. Between 1948 and 1952, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. His works were published in numerous magazines, including *Szpilki*, *Polityka* and *Trybuna Ludu*.

He took part in many exhibitions at home and abroad, including exhibitions of satirical art and political posters. He won prizes in graphic design competitions, including the ‘Golden Pin’, and received honourable mentions at national and international exhibitions.
