St. John of Odrovence (1183-1257) was one of the most frequently depicted saints in Italy in the 17th century. In the Church of the Holy Spirit (Chiesa di Santo Spirito) in Siena, there is a fresco painted by the Italian painter Ventura Salimbeni (1568-1613). The painting is entitled 'The Miracle of St Jack' and depicts the resurrection of a boy who died by drowning in a river.
