Aleksander Brückner was born on 29 January 1856 in Ternopil. He died on 24 May 1939 in Berlin. He was a Polish Slavist, historian of Polish literature and culture. He is buried in the Tempelhofer Parkfriedhof cemetery in Berlin at Gottlieb-Dunkel-Straße 26 - 27 (section 34, quarter 44/45).
