Biography:

Bernard Frydrysiak (1908-1970), born in Warsaw, painter and graphic artist. Between 1928 and 1934 he studied at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts under Tadeusz Pruszkowski and Władysław Skoczylas. A member of the 'Black and White' and St. Luke's Brotherhood groups, he co-authored a series of paintings for the Polish pavilion at the 1939 World Exhibition in New York. He created in the spirit of the paintings of the old Dutch masters. After the war he settled in New York.
