The Lidawka colony was inhabited by Poles and Ukrainians. In early 1943, Soviet partisans were stationed here. In retaliation for this, the Germans together with the Ukrainian police pacified the village on 3.03.1943. In Lidawka 104 people were killed and 29 farms were liquidated. Some of the victims were buried in a mass grave in Lidawka and some in the village of Paszuki.
In December 1990, Piotr Wereszczynski, who lost his family in Lidawka, erected a monument on the grave in Paszuki. The inscription reads: "To the Wereszczynski family and the inhabitants of Lidawka / murdered on 3 March 1943 / God take them to his glory". The horizontal slab bears the names of 10 Wereszczynski family members, 3 - Monasterski, 8 - Chodakowski and 2 Ukrainian names.
