The chapel is located in the Mykola Łeontowycz Central City Park located on the site of the former Polish cemetery. In 2013, on the initiative of members of the "Kresowiacy" Polish Association, a plaque was placed on the front wall to commemorate the executions of Poles by the NKVD in the 1930s and the former Polish cemetery.
